Jon Prata is a seasoned professional in the food service and hospitality industry, with over 30 years of experience as a chef, manager, and leader. A graduate of Johnson and Wales University with an associate’s degree in Culinary Arts, Jon has dedicated his career to delivering exceptional customer service and fostering positive, fun, and professional workplace environments.
Jon served as General Manager and Chef at the prestigious Squantum Association in Rhode Island, where he honed his skills in team leadership, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction. His leadership style emphasizes teamwork, coaching, and leading by example, creating cohesive and motivated teams that consistently deliver excellence.

Now based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jon’s most recent role was as Assistant General Manager at Salt & Ivy, located in MGM Aria Hotel and Casino. There, he thrived in the high-paced environment of one of the city’s premier dining destinations, managing daily operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring a world-class guest experience.

Jon’s passion for the culinary arts and hospitality, combined with his ability to inspire teams and adapt to evolving industry trends, makes him a dynamic and results-driven professional. Outside of work, Jon enjoys exploring new culinary techniques, fostering a balanced lifestyle, and immersing himself in his family life and the vibrant Las Vegas scene.
